ASK – Available seat per kilometre

ASK – Available seat per kilometre measures the airlines flight passenger carrying capacity. ASK is computed as the total number of available seats multiplies by the number of kilometres travelled. Available seat per kilometre is the basic unit production for the airlines passenger carrying capacity. A unit refers to a seat available for sale. A seat empty or filled flying one kilometre is the available seat per kilometre.
