COC – Certificate of Conformance
COC – Certificate of Conformance, also referred as the Certificate of Compliance. This simply speaks that the product is made according the set standard or required specs. Oftentimes, the Certificate of Conformance comes along with test sample results or proof the product was processed to meet the requested specification. Issuance of COC is stating that an aircraft and its assembly parts conform to the specs, design, approved instructions, aviation regulation, company policies and government standards. COC is issued by the manufacturer with a specimen signature of authorized personnel. COC is a form of affirmation that the supplier has conformed to the detailed specs indicated on the purchase order.
