IATA was first organized in April 1945 in Cuba. The key objective if the association are: safety, security, environment and simplifying business. They offer wide range of services like consultation and trainings. IATA formulated many standards. Amongst the most important is the transport of hazardous materials and dangerous goods. They work on environmental goals to improve fuel efficiency and decreasing carbon emissions. They also introduced concepts to ease business transactions like electronic ticket.
