SSFDR – Solid State Flight Data Recorder features a crash survival memory unit to protect solid state memory records. It can sustain impact and hard crash as well. It’s estimated to retain around 25 hours digital flight information with different configurations. It is capable of recording 64, 128, 256, 512 or 1024 words per second (wps) flight data for 25 hours. Aerospace companies may offer comprehensive data services along with the transcriptions and read-outs. SSFRD can be upgraded to meet the most recent regulation requirements and specifications. SSFDR is available in short and long models which may include the flight data acquisition unit.
