In memoriam - Lucy Robbin, co-founder and chairman of Sky Mart, passed away on September 13, 2019 in Key Biscayne, Florida

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sky Mart’s co-founder and chairman, Lucy Robbin. She died peacefully on September 13, 2019 at her home in Key Biscayne Florida, after a hard fought battle with COPD and lung cancer.

She was a strong and energetic lady who loved what she did. She had a knack for managing money and credit and had no problem telling you what she thought. She worked side by side with Gregorio Robbin, her husband of almost 50 years and her two children, creating a wonderful and exemplary life for her and those around her. She was instrumental in making the fateful and fortuitous decision to come to the United States in 1972 and she again intervened and made the decision to stay in 1974 when plans came up to go back to Colombia.

Lucy’s favorite thing was to travel together with her family and after the passing of her husband Gregorio in 2013, she accelerated the frequency of travel knowing how precious time is. Great food, a good Scotch and soda and great friends always surrounded her. She had the opportunity to see her company, Sky Mart, grow and mature into a strong business over the last 34 years and was able to instill enduring values into her two children that will live on for years to come.

Lucy is survived by her two children, Juan Gregorio and Ana María, together with many close friends and colleagues from all over the world.
