FBO – Fixed Based Operations
FBO – Fixed Based Operations are part of licensing requirements for aircraft operations. These include aircraft maintenance requirements, aviation services, policies and standards to regulate operations. FBO is also referred as fixed-base operator, a commercial business which handles airport operations offering aeronautical services to various aviation operators. Amongst these are aircraft rentals, storage, retail or sale of aircraft spare parts, aerial photo shoots, advertising and survey. More equipped FBO facilities offer extensive services such as selling of manuals, comfort items, in-flight caterings, and in-house vending grounds and similar arrangements. Currently, the minimum standards for aeronautic practices have been set forth by the US Department of Transportation with Federal Aviation Administration.
